London Olympics Case Study

APT played a pivotal role in the translation process for the successful bids for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in both London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Our team worked closely with the bid authors to make sure that the completed documentation truly reflected the original source content, not only linguistically, but also in presentation. We were also involved in providing interpreters and speechwriting services for the two bids.

Assigned a dedicated project manager to liaise with the relevant department’s project team to ensure our overall resources were appropriate to meet all deadlines

Assigned qualified translators to each project, with the specific requirement that the translated content be created with the general public in mind

Our publishing team worked closely with our translators and project manager to ensure final copy was accurate and delivered on time

This is ongoing work and to date each request has been completed on time and to client expectations

As each project is completed the approved translated content can be re-used for any future requirements using Translation Memory
